A few quick comments. Sal Zizzo has made the senior team and I for one am stoked. Will Alexi Lalas petition to keep Donovan stateside as LA's slim chance of making the playoffs would definitley fly away with him (he would miss 2 vital Western Conference games)? No EJ?

It seems as though this team has been put together with the thinking that should've gone into the Copa America tournament and the realization of the mistakes made with that young team.
There isn't a thing I would change in this line up and I'm pretty excited about it.
To address what you mentioned about Lando and the Galaxy, Lalas or Yallop getting headlines when he and Becks take off for friendlies is going to be classic, and the creation of the foundation of what we need more of in the U.S. soccer press. More shit talk.
is it just me or is this the US national team we need to win?
it's the US team without the politics. i've always felt that the USSF had a quota of players the coach had to pick from the MLS.

also though, i'm really interested to see what the formation looks like if landon isn't there..or even if he isn't...do you play dempsey in front of midfield...it just seems like the only area that's weak is the forward position.
Personally I think Duece is and Labdon are both best in the midfield but I don't think Bob is ready to give the reigns to the forwards that are on this roster.
The Galz aren't making the play-offs in any case, but I can understand why Galaxy fans might be pissed at this call up for a worthless friendly.
When will Jozy get a senior call-up? Anyone else think he's America's best striker?
